Mail Server Setup
Please do not change the user name and password. This way our server techs
will have access
to fix any support issues that may come up.
Please note that from this link you can watch serveral videos that will guide you through the setup and information on most server features.
Please click here to watch a short video that will guide you through the email setup process.
Its important that you add 2 mail accounts abuse and postmaster for each domain you add to the server
1: Sending to fast.....most Email Providers count the number emails
sent to them send to fast and they send blacklisting
info to block you
IP address
2: IP reputation:: this is new and important. Cisco has setup
monitoring that track mail volume. If you send high volume
on a
new server this will set off an alarm and the IP reputation can be
changed to Poor..... if this happens your emails will not be
forwarded
on.
3: Bad Lists. Never use cheep lists. They contain spam trap emails.
only use lists that have email and users ip address.
Opt in date
and more. If you hit a spam trap your ip will get blacklisted and the
block can't be removed for over 30 days.
Last we suggest that you send a small mailing of 500 emails and analyze
the returns. It common for new server to get blocked till the
new owner send
in contact info to verify that you are not a spammer. The bounces look like this:
SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
host relay.verizon.net [206.46.232.11]: 571 Email from 209.25.133.224 is currently
blocked by Verizon Online's anti-spam system. The email sender or Email Service
Provider may visit http://www.verizon.net/whitelist and request removal of the block. 100203
After you do this your server will be white listed...........
WHY do we need to send at 400 emails per hours. Nearly ever mail provider like AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, and others monitor the number of emails sent to them. They even have the ability to analyze the speed at which emails are sent to their servers. Their limits are 150 per hour. If you send your emails to fast this will trigger their Termination of Service requests and they will notify several spam blocking companies. Please Please follow these suggestions. If you have any question please email us at support@wstb.net. Even though we offer toll-free support this is not the fastest solution. EMAIL is way faster but if you call please leave a voice message so we can call you back.
Thank you
